linux-wlan-ng-firmware software package provides firmware files used by the linux-wlan-ng driver, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install linux-wlan-ng-firmware
linux-wlan-ng-firmware is installed in your system.
Make ensure the linux-wlan-ng-firmware package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep linux-wlan-ng-firmware *
You will get with linux-wlan-ng-firmware package name, version, architecture and description in a table
